A number of y-dna surname projects have proven to be very valuable to genealogy researchers. Is there any interest in starting a project for tne various spellings of the Nabors surname? Only males who have a direct paternal lineage to a Nabors ancestor (by any spelling) can submit y-dna samples for such a study. My wife's mother is a Nabers so she can't submit dna, but she could get one of her male cousins to participate. It might just help us solve the mystery of exactly which or how many lines of Nabers descend from Abraham Neighbours, 1684-1798, (wife Rebecca) who is believed to be the first ancestor by that name in the US.
Any interest out there in starting a new project?
