I am searching for information on Anna Lovisa (Louise) Johansdotter (in US, Johnson) said by family to be born 6 June 1858 in Värmland somewhere, but I believe it is the Karlskoga parish. Census records say she emigrated 1881, but I haven't found a ship's list that agrees with the precise date (one born in Aug. 1858 emigrated in 1880 from Karlskoga). Her mother re-married and had a son Erik Johan Magnusson (the family thinks), dates unknown, but he resided at Bofors at least in the late 1800s and early 1900s. His son, Johan Erland Magnusson, b 29 Jan 1904, emigrated to the U.S. in 1923 and resided in Milwaukee, WIS., until he died 1968. His ship's list says his last known residence was Karlskoga, and his father was still at Bofors then in 1923. "Erland" was going to join his cousin in Milwaukee, Carl A. Nygren, whom I found was born ca 1877 at Kroppa, Värmland, and emigrated 1912. I suppose the 1890 and 1900 census records could be helpful to find Erik Magnusson and other family members. I have searched Emihamn records, but they don't quite match up. Any help or pointers would be appreciated. Contact from family members would be very welcome.
