My mother-in-law's family were Labowskis from Narejow, Galicia, Poland (now Ukraine). They emmigrated here in 1898 settling first in New York and then later in Stafford Springs, CT. My mother-in-law's mother was named Arline Labowski (daughter of Yosef Labowski and Mary Jourdan) and she had 5 sisters and 2 brothers (Rose, Marcela, Julia, Josephine, George, Michael and Elizabetha). They were Roman Catholics. My mother-in-law always stated that a branch of the Labowski's settled in Pennsylvania. Could there be a connection here?
