My father was born April 9, 1952. As far as I know his first and middle birth name was Hans Jurgen (or Juergen). His petition for nationalization said he was adopted January 30, 1958 in Stuttgart Bad Connstatt court. He was adopted by an American couple, Jack (Army) and Geneva Cheeks and taken to the United States.

Before my father died, he had been searching for his birth family. He was told that his birth mother had other children but could not care for all of them. Hans was put up for adoption and possibly other siblings as well. His mother may have been named Hildegard (sp?). She may have also been a book binder or worked in a similar profession. There is also a chance that the last name is Codec or some variation of that name. None of the information is concrete so any leads would be greatly appreciated.
