A fellow Meagher Family researcher forwarded some information that might be of value to other researchers with the request that I share it here at Rootsweb.com.

The information comes from a reprint of "Irish Marriages, Being an Index to the Marriages in Walker's Hibernian Magazine, 1771 to 1812", Henry Farrar, London, England, 1890.

The introduction states:
"The present volume is an attempt to render available to the Genealogist and Student of Family History some part of the store of information to be found in the pages of 'Walker's Hibernian Magazine' from its first issue in 1771 until its discontinuance in July, 1812.

"Till the year 1800 English and Irish Marriages are chronicled under different headings, the latter only have been indexed. After that year the marriages are given under one heading, and those are all included in the present work. ..."

On page 340 is the following:
"O'Meagher, Edmund, Marle Hill, co Tipperary = Roche, Miss, d. of late Stephen, Limerick, in that place" May 1809, page 319
