Hello fellow RootsWebbers!

I am searching for information on the railroad lines of Elkhart County during the period up to and including 1874, more specifically the line or lines that ran from Elkhart through Goshen and on to Toledo, Ohio.
My Great Granduncle, Clark Haskins, was injured in a wreck on that line in the last week of April or the first few days of May 1874, and I am trying to get information about this accident.
Please, anyone with information or possible sources of information regarding train lines and/or accidents in the Goshen area contact me.
A small, unspecified newspaper clipping stated,"Clark died at precisely Six P.M. on Thursday night, May 7th. He had been involved in a train wreck just east of Goshen, Indiana. The train he was brakeman on was hit in the middle by another train. He was thrown backwards against the car behind and sustained injuries to his (left?) side, legs, and back."

Thanks soooooooooo much in advance,

Carl
