Searching for links to my LASHBROOK ancestors from Cornwall, England.
My g.g. grandfather was tin miner Samuel LASHBROOK born in Padstow, Cornwall, in 1837, killed in a mining accident (sometime in 1870s?) in Cumberland at the other end of England (where he had gone to work in the iron mines). His daughter Mary was my g. grandmother - born in Egremont, Cumberland in 1869, but returned to Cornwall with her mother and other siblings after Samuel's death.
One of Samuel's sons was William (also known as Jack?), a blacksmith, emigrated to Canada, got married and started a new line of Lashbrooks there.
Samuel's father was John LASHBROOK, probably born abt. 1798 in Bodmin area, Cornwall.
Any links, hints or info regarding the above would be greatly appreciated!
