In my family I always heard we were Cherokke, but later found out we were from the Shawnee tribe. I have a pic. of an indian woman it says (handwritten in pencil) Mr. Flints own mother. It is a B/W pic ,woman wearing dark clothing, with dark braids in her hair. The pic itself is sepia tones like a cardboard material. My father has the picture.
I would like to find out how I can be sure we have an indian heritage, but this has been very difficult. Any advice would be very much appricated. Thanks, ~Suzanne Flint-Youn~ :)
