i have a friend whos mother was born and raised in germany, adopted as a baby by another german family there. it was a closed adoption. my friends mother came to america with an american man in the 60s or 70's, and they married. my friend is nearing 40 now, her mother dead, and her mothers biological parents likely dead, and the adoptive parents dead.

she is wondering how she can find out who her moms parents names and stuff were, since it was a closed adoption. everyone involved is dead now so it wouldnt matter anymore. also, there were unfortunatly some illnesses that her mom had and she is worried that she could get something if it runs in the family
