This has always been a terrible problem on Ancestry.com but it appears to be growing worse lately. Before you add a person to your tree, please at least look at the birth/death dates of everyone in the family. I recently received a hint that included 10 family trees that all had exactly the same information. The person I was researching was born in 1852 and every tree said his mother was born in 1797. It is extremely unlikely that a 55 year old woman in the middle of the 19th century is still giving birth to children. Because this information had been copied over and over again, it will continue to be passed on to others who don't take the time to consider if the dates are reasonable. Do yourself (and others) a huge favor and consider if the information you're about to post to your tree makes sense and/or is even feasible.
