Never tried to get a death certificate from Nebraska, but have elsewhere. I found this web site for the Department of Health and Human Services at http://dhhs.ne.gov/publichealth/Pages/ced_decert.aspx. Is that the best route or is there another office? When I needed a record from Albany NY I was advised that if I went to the state it could take months, but going to the county only took a couple of weeks. Anything I should know about records in Nebraska?

And... will I get an actual photo copy or a transcription?
