I'm researchin myGGrand Father John "Pappy" Evans. I believe he was stationed in Ft. Wayne, Allen County Indiana after the Civil War. He had a wife I believe her name was Betsy or Elizabeth. They had two girls Fawn or Fawntella and Jaquetta. There may have been a boy Charles ( this is just hearsay) I am sure about the girls. John was in the Civil War and became a POW in Andersonville. After Ft. Wayne I find John in Richmond and Muncie, Indiana. I'm told he died a VERY old man in the late 20's. Does anyone have any information on this John. It is so hard as it seems everyone has a John Evans in their Evans family. Any and all info. would be much appreciated.
