Orlando Coolidge, son of Henry and Mary (Norcross) Coolidge, was born 17 Apr. 1794 [Waterford (Me.) VR]. He married (2nd) 8 Mar. 1837 [Norway (Me.) VR; also from Oxford County Marriage Returns, p. 43] Martha W. Merrill of Norway, Maine, most probably the daughter of Edmund and Betsey (Bancroft) Merrill of Norway.

Anyone have any information on Martha W. Merrill and her families history? I'm not sure about her parents... After Martha married Orlando Coolidge they moved to Howard, Winnebago Co., Illinois in 1838. After the Civil War which a couple of her children served in the family moved on to Kansas and then Washington State in 1878.
