Eli Beale’s Father? Maybe, maybe not.


We have been Looking for Eli’s Father for years. We even had thoughts that he was a space man that landed in a flying saucer and married Ann Stamp in April 1801. Some people always said that Eli was a nick-name or short for something else and I think now, that they may be right.
What I have is a marriage bond for Benjamin Beal and Winney Johnson in April of 1801. Eli Beale stands for the bond. Then I have a marriage bond for Jacob Beale and Sarah Porter in January of 1801. Benjamin Beale stands for the bond. Also I have a marriage bond for Eli Beal and Ann Stamp in April 1801 and Jacob Beal stands bond. That one was one day after Jacob and Sarah’s. I find a deed that Eli sells 30 ac to Jacob. Some time after Eli marries.
What is the connection between Benjamin, Jacob, Eli? Sounds like brothers but I never found a Beal family with all three names in it. Stumped.
Richard Beal’s will (1797) was published on-line by Stachon. Then the phone started ringing, there it is they yelled, so I looked at it. There is a Jacob and Elijah, and a name that could not be read.
The timeing was right. Richard left Eli/Elijah a house and 30ac. Is that the 30ac that Eli sold Jacob? Is the unreadable name Benjamin? Is Elijah Beal, Eli?
I sit on it for a long time, looking for proof. I cannot find one grain of proof. I have a “gut” feeling that it is right but, that don’t put wood in the heater.
So, I will toss it to the E-mail winds and see what blows back.
