Looking for help finding my grandfather's family in what use to be Galicia. He came to America in 1904.
His sister and her husband were put in a prison camp where she died in 1915. We wonder why the family would be imprisoned.
The uncles of my grandfather were monks and my grandfather spent a year or so studying to be a priest. I think he may have gone to Sambor for this.
I don't know where to start. Would appreciate any help. Especially wondering what was going on from 1904 to 1915 that would make an ordinary family prisoners.
