I am looking for information on Thomas Salsbury, born circa 1790 - 1800 in VA, md. Nancy Dyer of Ky, arrived in Vanderburgh County, IN appx 1815, where at least two of his children, Marcus 1816/1818 and James 1820/1822 were born. The Salsbury's migrated to IL appx 1827. Mr. S. was, I gather, a rather eccentric frontiersman, and an article was published in a Vanderburgh County newspaper during his stay there relating that he would surely come to a bad end if he did not change his ways. Any information on Thomas Salsbury in Vanderburgh County would be appreciated, especially a copy of the newspaper article. . . . . . Oh, by the way, Mr S. became a respected farmer in Illinois.
