My great great great grandfather, William Neville Hamilton (b. abt. 1854), is listed on the Black Sheep Index (
http://www.lightage.demon.co.uk/BSINOTES.htm), with the event occurring on 1889. He does not appear on the 1891 census with the rest of his family--his wife, Caroline, is listed as the head of household at this time--but reappears for the 1901 census. I am trying to figure out what happened for him to be on the BSI and to not appear in the 1891 census. He was living in Kensington (MDX, England) in 1889 (and for many years before and after). As I am in the U.S., I am having difficulty tracking down this information, and I was hoping someone could suggest a new approach.
Thanks,
Jill
