Hello,

According to the 1891 Census my great, great grandfather Joseph Harper was born in Dudley, Staff. (which I assumed was Staffordshire).

Is Dudley a part of Staffordshire or Worcestershire?

We don't have an actual date of birth for him, so not knowing which particular BMD to look at is making this confusing. He may have been born in 1862 or 1861. I've found Joseph Harper's in both years and the Staffordshire & West Midlands BMDs.

Can anyone clarify?
