I have just found a Glosson connection or two to my family. ANy info from anyone would be appreciated. This is what I found in the Chatham County Pleas and Quarter Sessions, Nov 1784:
"Sarah Glosson appointed guardian for all her children (10 are named)....orphans of Joseph Glosson, her giving bond with VACHEL (sp) CLARK."
Vatchel Clark is my GGGGGgrandfather. It seems highly likely, though not proven, that Vatchel is Sarah Glosson's father, making Sarah a CLARK. I also have the following marriages: Sarah Glosson-Isaac Clark, 24 Jul 1822, Orange Co., with Mason Glosson as bondsman; Delilah Glosson and William Lloyd, 6 Feb 1829 in Orange (was she the sister of Alfred Glosson who married Julia Lloyd? Their daughter Frances Artelia married my 1st cousin (4r) Calvin Perry. Then I have Nancy Clark-Jonathan Whitehead, 24 Jul 1821, Orange; Mason and Jasper Glosson were bondsmen. I bet this family ties into my Clarks as well as Perrys; I just need help finding the links. I traced Mason Glosson to Orange Co. INDIANA; in 1850 he is 49, married, with 4 children. The youngest is named "ALFORD".
