In a newspaper article, the occupation of Harley Correll Darnall (1869-1935, Vermilion Co., IL) was given as "Commission Merchant." Does anyone know what that meant? We think he owned a store in Ridgefarm, IL.

Does anyone have an obituary, pictures or other biographical information about our ancestor that they would be willing to share?
