I found my great grandfather in the 1900 census his name is Kit Martin. I also found my grandmother{mother's mama} in the household with him my confusion come in in that census it says marry,but no wife he is head of household. There are others in the household too. I'm confuse because on my grandmother's death certificate I was able to send and get from our Secretary of State{Lousiana}has her mother name as Marie Benjamin on another sister in that household who death certificate I have mother is a Martha Gillery and another sister marriage lic. say's mother's maiden name Marie Benjamin. Should I look up Martha tied to him?
