Charlie Johnson was my grandfather. The only thing I know is that he was from Sneedsville, Tenn and was born in 1874. I understand he ran away from home when he was about 14. Some records show his father to be from Virginia and his mother from Tennessee. He met and married Julia Etta Beckham in Clayton Missouri in 1901 and they with their daughter Jewel moved to Kansas in about 1917or so.
