I am wondering if anyone might know a bit (or a lot) about Ballard family lines & origins in Saint John, going back to the early 1800s or mid/late 1700s.
I am trying to find some connections in my Tree (my 2nd great-grandfather perhaps was born in Saint John itself, William Ballard in 1811). But I am really searching for here is just a general knowledge of Ballards and their history in the area. I do notice that there are even today some Ballards in and around the city, but have not been able to find much of anything on early origins in NB (other than Ireland in 1819, that I have ruled out).
