William Grose was baptised in 1764 at Eversholt Bedfordshire. His parents were Richard Grose and Sarah Smith who were married in 1758 at Eversholt. Richard Grose was baptised in 1726 at Great Barford.

Richard parents were Richard Grose and Elizabeth nee Lewis and they were married in 1718 at Great Barford.

William Grose had a son William Smith Grose who was born c.1790 in Essex. William Smith Grose arrived in New South Wales Australia in 1808 and married Elizabeth Reay in 1826 at Parramatta Sydney Australia.
