Hello I am extending my hand across the oceans in hope that someone may help in a brick wall that has thrown itself up.

The above gentleman from Bradford England(born 1825 died 1892) became a well known Sargeant in the USA army,a preacher and writer- see http://lincolnandthesleepingsentinel.blogspot.com/


But it is his son and his wife I am having difficulty in tracing any further

WILLIAM NATHANIEL AMBLER born MAINE 1854 -(mother ANNA LYDIA HICKS)

Marries a MARY LOUISA GRAY in Chelsea on 8 Aug 1877 but by 1880 the couple are found living at 2 GOODWIN PLACE,BOSTON,SUFFOLK.No children only lodger.

1890 - Only William Ambler is found but now living with only his mother in Middlesex Mass.(Address Medford Ward 6, Middlesex, Massachusetts)- But there is no sign of his wife or any possible children.

Could anyone give me a start of where I could look for a possible death of his wife or (if any) children - Or any clue to a new marriage perhaps??
