Am looking for information on families of this surname and it's variations who lived in Bergen and Essex counties in New Jersey. I have extracted some information from church records in my own searches but am missing information and family connections. In particular I am looking for information on the family of Abraham Van Seyl who married Rachel Van Blarcom. Abraham died circa 1735 and Rachel remarried to Abraham Metselaer. Baptismal records for three of their children have been found to date, Annatie, Pieter and Eechie. Other children believed to belong are Jacomyntje (named for Rachel's mother) Rachel, possibly a Maritje and at least one other son. Rachel may have had a son in her second marriage to Abraham Metselaer. Would be happy to share my info.
