is my husband's father. He may have been born about 1914, as my husband's birth certificate lists him as age 32 at the time of the son's birth. Richard Parsons Duffy's birthplace is listed as East St. Louis, Illinois. Is there a difference if I am trying to find vital records for this man between MO and Ill??
The father's occupation is noted as "Army" on the birth certificate and my husband says his mom told him he died near the end of WW2 or just after it ended, prior to my husband's birth on August 27, 1946. I have searched everywhere I can think of to find any information on this man. Anyone recognize the name, or have any other search ideas for me?
