The mining company where my friend works are drilling on the hill near John Marshall's grave as it contains a number of rich gold and silver veins. The San Julian exploration property and the John Marshall vein discovery are mentioned on the company's website www.fresnillopic.com My friend David Giles works for Penoles and its subsidiary Fresnillo plc.

The Spanish part can be translated as follows:

"As a testimony of Affection We, His Employess

This Spanish bit suggests that maybe he was a fairly significant member of the mining team.
