On two of my descendants 'Letters of Intent to become Citizen of the United States' John & James Callan list their place of birth as County Mead....

Was there ever a County Mead..... or is this an error. as one of their sisters Bridget was born within the Parish of Stamullen, County of Meath.. 7 May 1833.

Can anyone help me please...
