In working with data on my new found ancestors, the atte Stone/Stone family of Ardleigh, (a book by J. Gardner Bartlett abt 1918), there is a dark not so good photo of the "small estate" in Ardleigh called "Barons"/ aka "Old Shields" . After the atte Stone/Stone families had it, it was then bought by a James Vince and at the time of the book, it was still in the Vince family. I have tried to find a photo of this house on internet but cannot find one - does anyone know where I can obtain a copy of photo via internet (scanned image attached to an e-mail off this site) or does anyone have one for whatever reason? In searching for this, it appears to me that this is now a working farm (orchard?) and takes in guests? Or is that another one of same name?
