I have come across the a 9-year-old Archelous HORE in the 1881 census. However, if I look in the GRO births index for this lad, I can only find a Hercules instead, despite considering several years, and several districts.

When one types the name "Archelous" into Family Search, the database returns the name "Hercules" too.

Was Archelous a Cornish version of Hercules?
Can anyone help with information about these names?

Alos looking for the marriage of John HORE and Mary Ann BASSETT between about 1850 and 1853 in Truro district, or thereabouts.
