Kim, my great grandmother was Albina Monty who was married to my great grandfather Joseph Brodeur. Albina was born on March 2, 1858 in St. Athanas Canada. She died in July 1948 in New Bedford, MA. Her father was Phillippe Monty and her mother was Marie Josette Neveu. Albina and Joseph had 12 children--Telesphore, Amelda, Louis (my grandfather), Phillippe, Alma, Clement, Sylvere, Paul, Maria, Alida, Georgiana, and Geroge. Albina's paternal grandfather was Clement Monty and paternal grandmother was Marie Louise Boileau. Marie Louise Boileau's father was Rene Boileau, and her mother was Marie Ann Robert. Rene Boileau's father was Pierre Boileau and his mother was Margaurite Menard. Margaurite Menard's father was Maurice Menard and her mother was Madeline Couc dit Lafleur. Madeline Couc dit Lafleur's father was Pierre Couc dit Lafleur adn her mother was Marie Miteouamigoukoue who was an Algonquin Indian. As you can see, there are still quite a few holes in my research on this side. I do have quite a bit of information on the Brodeur side which goes back to the late 1600's. Let me know if you need more information on the Brodeur lineage.
