Interested in whether anyone knows of a source that might give more detail about a German armiger named "Mosser" who carried the attached arms.
The escutcheon, helm, crest and mantling is shown for "Mosser" in Siebmacher's German armorial from 1705 under a section called "Ennobled", and is also given in Rietstap and in Rolland's illustrations (but there only for a Mosser in "Germany"). I could not find any further detail on the person, family, timeframe, or city in Germany.
Just from the Siebmacher reference I'm guessing the armiger was recently ennobled in the late 1600s, but there really isn't much to go on. Any leads greatly appreciated.
