I just got my Ancestry DNA results in and I decided to run my data through GEDmatch in the hopes of getting a more detailed picture or at least something to compare them to. The problem is that I am COMPLETELY lost and I have no idea how to interpret my results. Frankly, I feel it must be simpler than I realize, and I'm feeling pretty stupid right now (usually this is not the case).
More specifically, I'm trying to determine my British Isles and Irish roots. Unfortunately I don't know how to read my results. I've taken all of the Eurogenes and just cannot seem to figure it all out.
My Ancestry results: 49% Europe West, 22% Great Britain, 14% Scandinavia, 9% Ireland, plus some trace regions.
Eurogenes K13:
North Atlantic 49.09
Baltic 25.54
West Med 13.52
Plus others...
Eurogenes EUtest:
South Baltic 13.28
East Euro 10.70
North Central Euro 29.61
Atlantic 26.65
West Med 12.03
Plus others...
EUtest V2 K15
North Sea 35.70
Atlantic 26.66
Baltic 13.13
Eastern Euro 8.71
West Med 9.43
Plus others...
Like I said, I've taken all of the Eurogenes but those listed above are the ones I saved. I don't know what to do with the various Oracle information, either. Surely there are those who get this. Please, I implore you: HELP!
