Samuel Johnson mortgaged land in St Andrews parish to William McLelland in 1846. William was living in the parish at the time. He was still there when he quit the claim to the deed in 1849. William McLelland was not in the 1851 census.

Was he related to Martin McLelland who was also in the parish?
Was he the same William McLelland who was in Forsyth, Green Lake, Wisconsin in the 1860 census?
Was he somehow related to Samuel Johnson?
