Looking for family of Mark Schmidt who came to the UK around 1850 with son Israel. He was or did marry Esther (Easter Mierers) Israel changed name to Smith. First census said they were Russian then changed to Polish and finally British Subject. Have signature of Mark Schmidt but not sure if this is his Hebrew name or Russian/Polish name, just can't read it. It could even be his way of signing Schmidt. Any help on signature would be great.
