I was told growing up that we were Native American and have spent about 15 yrs researching this. I recently took the DNA test and am totally shocked at the results. To my disappointment it didn't show any NA DNA but instead it shows I have 1% of both Asia south and Polynesian. Is it safe to assume that since my mother has the same that it is from her side? Also, how far back should I start looking for this ancestor? Here is where the majority of my DNA is from
