I'm hoping someone can answer a few questions regarding the DNA Ethnicity results.
My breakdown is as follows:
Europe West - 43%
Ireland - 36%
Scandinavia - 11%
I've traced both my my father and mother's side of the family to Scotland, Ireland and Wales. I understand the Scandinavia results due to migration patterns but I'm a bit confused on the Europe West results and why they are so high. I'm at 43% and it shows the typical native is 48%.
Can anyone give any insight on why Europe West would be so high as I cannot locate any German, French or related ancestry? Is this DNA from early nomadic times? Why would the typical native range be so close?
Thanks for any responses.
