Hi one and all - Just browsing sites looking for info on family and how far we go back to, who we are, where we came from etc. My records suggest we are a subset of the O'Neill clan -not sure that I like that at all but no matter.
I really just wanted to update records about my family. I am Eugene McStravick from Armagh. my father was Gerard McStravick(d 10/12/99) and his father was Patrick McStravick married to Ellen Fagan(there are still Fagan's from Ellen's family in the Armagh area).
Patrick had 12 children (though one of Genie's kids says 13 - hi Philomena!) and they are/were : Felix (deceased), Pat (deceased), Joe (deceased), Gerard (deceased), Peter and Eugene and six girls - Kathleen (deceased), Eileen (deceased), Roseleen (deceased), Mamie (deceased), Josie and Bridget. Patrick was a saddler and had a shop at 67 English Street Armagh for many years. The premises are now a solicitor's office but the titles are still in the family.
Anyways brothers and sisters of the world who claim allegience to the McStravick name I just thought I'd let you know who I am and where I come from and it would be nice someday if someone could find out who we all are and where we came from (sometimes I think I'm from the ark -heehee) and we could all have a clan jamboree or whatever clans have.
I'm around the net most weeks and would love to hear from youse all -either here or in town someday!
