Do original marriage books survive?

Classification: Query
I have a copy printed from microfilm of the May 9, 1929 marriage of William McKinnis and Hazel Williams. It came from Marriage Vol. 272, p.20, at the courthouse in Covington. Unfortunately, the middle portion showing their parents' names is too faded to be readable. I really need the names of the bride's parents.

A nearby friend also tried but couldn't read it. She was told that the original books were no longer available. Does anyone know anything to the contrary, or is anyone nearby who is good at reading badly faded film?

Any help much appreciated! -- Bill Smith, Washington state
