Hello,
I am trying to locate my ancestors. My Great Grandfather was named Karl Niete. He immigrated to Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A in 1878 (approximately). He came from Brandenburg, Germany. I do not know the town that he came from. I do not know his wife's name or that of his parents. He had a son named Rudolph (Rolph) that was born in 1878 (about) and it is believed that he was born in Brandenburg and was one month old when he arrived in Chicago. Rolph moved west and lived most of his life in Portland, Ore. He married Lydia Dammeier of Portland. Rolph died in 1945. Rolph had a sister named Martha who married Henry Weigle of Chicago. She and Henry lived their lives in Chicago and She died in the early 1960's. I have been searching my family for a long time and have not had any luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
