Almon PETTIGROVE born c.1848 in St.
Andrews, NB. Son of Benjamin PETTIGROVE (born c.1818) and Eliza Jane EASTMAN (born c.1823).
1851 Census shows 3 PETTIGROVE families of similar age in St. Andrews: Benjamin, Joshua (ship captain),
and Samuel. Brothers? A Mary PETTIGROVE (age 68, born in US) lived with Benjamin in 1851. She is listed
as "Mother." Looking for firm connection to parents' names. Possible link to the Thomas PETTIGROW family
which settled in Township #5 (Calais), ME in 1780's? His sons were: Francis, Thomas Jr., John, Nahum,and
Benjamin.
