I am looking for more info on the lynching. But most of all, looking for more info on the 4 men indicted for the crime. Shepfer, Shank, Stiles and Winkever. Two of those names seem to be a typo in old papers, but there exists few resources for anything past the crime itself. Hope some of the descendants contact me and let me know if those men stood trial and what their fate was.
Jeff Davis was lynched in 1873 in Ragersville, Ohio for multiple crimes and rape.
