I am trying to find as much information as I can about the Oakes Family from England.
At the moment the furthest we have gone back in time is to 1845 when Henry Benjamin Oakes was born and later married Harriett Holdforth. My grandmother Ruby Mitchell (nee Oakes) went on a trip to South America with her family when she was young, and the INCAS tried to take her and make her their queen as the Spainish had killed their King and Queen.
