I am trying to locate the certificate of death from my uncle who died June 25, 1945. I am told he died of a heart attack on his way back to a military base in Texas (not sure this information is accurate). When I search for the death record it comes up as Georgia certificate #11530 but shows Ind (Indiana?) as the "county" of death. (this could be true as we do have ties to Indiana) Searching Indiana and Georgia, I find no further records and when I try to order this record, it asks for a city of death… which of course I do not know. Does anyone know how I can get this record if I do not know the place of death? And why is this showing as a Georgia death cert if he died in Indiana?
