I had my father do the familytree DNA 37 marker test. Looking for anyone who can help decipher results. We are in the Donald USA project. Oddly my father tested a 9 at marker 426.( I guess that's how you say it...?) While everyone else in the project I can see are 12s. with an occasional 11 or 13. Could anyone help explain that?? Facilitator for the project said it is very rare. He also suggested further testing to place him more accurately but is guessing he is M222, ie. very Irish.?? While research had me guessing Scotch due to oldest known ancestor, John McConnell b. Va 1763 being buried in a Presbyterian cemetery.
I am very new to DNA testing and totally winging it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
