My mother's maiden name was Blacksten. Her father was David son of Mary A. and John Henry Blacksten of Hocking County Ohio. They lived near Sand Run in Ward Township. Grandpa's family moved to Michigan later, but Grandpa stayed here.He did keep in touch with his sister's Emma and Cynthia. There were four brothers...William, Emmanel, Henry, and Charles, plus sisters Flora, Bessie, and Elizabeth. If you know any of these people I would appreciate your letting me know. I'm also working on my mother's side of our family tree. I will be glad to scan you pictures of the family that I have.
