I am researching my Collar family connection in Kalkaska,MI area. David Collar m. Flora A. Beebe in Penn.. I find them in 1880 in Surrey Twp.,Clare Co.,MI on a census record. At that time they have a female child Etta born in Penn. who is 2,and a Hatta B. that is 2 months old. By 1900 David and Flora have settled in Kalkaska,as I find them on the 1900 census record for Kalkaska Twp.. At this time they have Etta May who is 21 yrs. old, Anna B. who is 20, Rosa B. who is 16(my direct ancestor), Arley S. who is 13, Elma Eliza who is 10 yrs.old(I was given a copy of her birth cert.), Floyd who is 3 yrs. old, and Lena P. who is 1 yrs.old. I have concluded that Hatta B. and Anna B. are the same person. In searching the seeking michigan website for old death certificates I find a Hattie B. Sherwood. This record shows the correct father and mother. The informant on the record is Wakeman Sherwood of Kalkaska. I do not know if this is her husband,or maybe father or brother-in-law. The death certificate says she died April 15,1906. But as I scroll to the bottom of the seeking michigan page with this record it states she passed in 1903,obviously incorrect. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could locate an obituary for Hattie B. Sherwood in 1906. Or maybe even a marriage record for her approx. date 1900. Any help appreciated. Thank you Michele
