Dominica Brodowska and her first cousin Victoria Brodowska traveled together from Suwalki to America about 1905. To gain passage they traveled under assumed names, posing as mother and daughter. Victoria spent about six moths in Pennsylvania, then some time in New Haven, CT, eventually to Norwich, CT. It is unknown if Dominica accompanied her there or went straight to Norwich.

Dominica was a daughter of Pavel Paul Brodowski and Ann Omilian born about 1884. The family resided in Nowa Wies, just outside of Suwalki proper. Dominica had a sister Apolonia who she sent for in 1912; she died shortly after in Norwich. Other children of Pavel and Anna Brodowski were: Felix, Wictor, Walter, Paulina.

In Norwich Dominica met her cousin Alexandra (Kosienska) Stanckiewicz, wife of John Stankiewicz. Alexandra Kosienski was the daughter of Joseph Kosienski and Mary Omilian; Mary Omilian was the sister of Anna Omilian. The other children of Joseph and Mary Kosienski were Leon, Michael and Andrew. There were two other sons, but their names are unknown. The Kosienski family is supposed to be from a place called Nowy Stary Shadub.

Dominica married Frank Romanski in Norwich in 1910. They were Roman Catholic. They raised their family in Norwich.

Victoria Brodowska was s daughter of Albert Wojciech Brodowski and Frances Franciszka Kowalewski. She was born about 1887. Once in Norwich she married Adam Stanlulonis, in 1908. They stayed in Norwich and raised their family there.

There was another Brodowski in Norwich, namely Andrew Brodowski. He married Mary Dziadula. They lived in Norwich and raised their family there. When and where they married is unknown.
