Joseph and Catherine, from Nova Scotia and Ireland, respectively, had at least 5 children: Henry, b.1846; Jessie, b.1852; Mary, b. 1853; and Timothy and John, b.1854. Joseph was a butcher and had a successful business. The family resided in Vicksburg,MS. My g'father, Jesse, mirated to LA where he met and married my g'mother Dewetta Whatley.
